The Child Watch Bus Tour is aimed at raising community awareness about the issue of child abuse in our area, while familiarizing community participants with signs and symptoms of child abuse and resources available to children and families struggling with these issues.

The bus tour stage is set through the eyes of a child experiencing abuse and/or neglect and entering into the child welfare system. This simulation is intended to allow participants to mirror this experience through the use of adopting a persona of an abused child through a vignette description and then moved through the many places a child may visit once the child enters the system.

The Bus Tour is conducted annually during the month of April, which is Child Abuse Awareness Month. It is free to participate and lunch and transportation to all sites is provided.
